Starting this week, I'll be setting up product categories at wargame vault (and need to figure out how to propagate them to the other sites). So far, I have eight categories: 1) 3.75" scale 2) fantasy scenery 3) historic scenery 4) modern scenery 5) old west (really 19th century America) 6) sci-fi scenery 7) sci-fi vehicles 8) urban ruins Since I really don't do many figure sets, I'm not sure I want to add a category for them (but since it's easy--I hope--I probably will Except for the action figures, I'm not separating by scale yet. I don't do much 15mm, so those are in the various product categories. Here's the category button: Attachments:

looks good. Maybe go with Buildings instead of Scenery, or even a separate button for scenery and buildings? Go ahead ans add the button, even if it just a few items. They will still show up in the regular list, and when someone is looking for figures, they will be easier to find.

Scenery because somethings that go in the category (the pipeline, for example) really arn't buildings in the traditional sense. Maybe another word for scenery that's more descriptive and inclusive. Will think about it.

THat makes sense. The only word I could come up with is terrain, but that IMO leaves buildings out.

The reason I was having trouble setting up product categories was a technical one for the OBS sites. I got a response back fixing the problem within twelve hours. That's exceptional customer service.
